And a very Merry Christmas to you all...

I make no secret of the fact that I am atheist.

Despite that, I have no hesitation in wishing all who might pass this way "Have a very happy Christmas".

To those who think it illogical or hypocritical for me to make such a wish, think on this.

Why should you, if the wish upsets you, accept what is freely given. Why should you, if the wish has religious connotations that affect your sensibilities, try to read what is in my mind.

Well, to all those "freedom loving liberals" hear this -

I DO NOT GIVE A MONKEYS WHAT YOU THINK.

YOUR CONTINUAL PURSUIT OF WHAT YOU SEE AS "FAIR" AND "RIGHT" IS IN FACT AN IGNOMINIOUS RETREAT INTO INTOLERANCE AND BIGOTRY.

YOUR INCESSANT ATTEMPTS TO IMPOSE YOUR BELIEFS ON OTHERS, WHILE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO SUPPRESS THEIR RIGHTS TO THE FREEDOMS OF EXPRESSION AND BELIEF, MAKE A MOCKERY OF YOUR OWN BELIEFS.

To those who believe that their religion is the "one true faith" and that all others must bow before it hear this -

Have a Hapy New Year as well.

I am heading south in about three hours to have Christmas with our daughter and partner. Will be back on deck in early January.

Ka kite ano.

Eguberri On* from a fellow Atheist.

*You guessed it, Merry Christmas in Basque, but it translates literally into New Day, because it was a Winter Solstice celebration before Christianity arrived.

Take your Christmas and shove it! I'm calling it Santa Luther Claus Jr. Day from now on -- no more of this "savior's birth" mumbo-jumbo. And I hope you have a safe trip. Peace.

Uhmm...okay, well, anyway...Dropping by to say hello, and thanks for the comment you left on my site. Also, I just wanted to say "nice blog", so here it is: Nice blog.
No, really. For a homemade template (at least I think it's homemade), yours is pretty good, certainly better than what I could probably do. I also like your writing, but as a Christian semi-conservative, I guess I wouldn't agree with all the things you say. However, I found out a long time ago that finding someone else, by accident, whose beliefs match yours 100% is like finding meth in the Pope's sock drawer. Kinda hard. Anyhoo, that's all.
Oh, and a Merry (belated) Christmas to you.
