Where it might go, or where it might not. It is whether it interests me that counts. If it doesn't interest you then come back again because I never know what the next post will hold...

I tend to think of my self as a fundamentalist smart-ass. Any one who disagrees with my smart-assed opinions will be put down and called a dumb-ass.
All hail smart-assedness!

Bob, cryptic and obscure. There is something here that my simple small country brain is missing.
The fact the others have gotten your point does not make it any easier.
The cartoon? Like all good lampoons, it is way over the top. That was one of the reasons it appeals to me.
The religious connotation? Only that it is how I see the beliefs of a small number of extremely powerful people impinging upon their actions. I hesitate to describe it as "hypocrisy", but again the excess of this particular lampoon say it well.
Never mind...another one bites the edust.
You found a point there? Practicing rational labelling, LibertyBob is an atheist neo-con with libertarian tendencies and a gift for humorous writing of many varieties. And his serious writings are well worth considering as well. Well, well.
I disagree with this cartoon as a portrayal of Bush, but I admit that that's a result of my identification with him (not least as a fellow stutterer) and my projection onto him of attitudes that I hold. People do that with leaders. That's why they're dangerous.
Stick to your (purely metaphorical) guns, Prob. You're good enough, you're smart enough and - Doggone it! - people like you!
I am not an atheist neo-con!
I'm an Asatru Utilitarian with obnoxious tendencies. As a proper Heathen, I can easily see the distinction twixt the radical religious nuts and those who simply have faith in their religion and go on about their business. As long as people aren't bothering each other, things are cool. When people get uppity, the only response is to warn them once and then swat them down.

Bob, Isn't 'obnoxious' synonymous with 'uppity'?
As a proper, consistent Heathen, what possible compunction could you have against the obvious utility for euthanizing the aged, infirm, mentally defective, ugly, uppity, or otherwise disagreeable?
I like the cartoon as well. If you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk.
Obnoxious and uppity aren't the same thing.
Uppity implies that one is annoying by trying to do things above one's worth.
Obnoxious can be accomplished well within one's social standing.
