I don't know.
It is an interesting read - even if (like me) you only understand a third to a half of it.
Those of religious bent may, if they wish, argue the "why" and the "who by" of humans being wired in this fashion. I shall enjoy the debate hugely. I might even join in...

It doesn't pay to argue about religion as you well know; the only way to enjoy such a discussion is when the spirit of contention is left somewhere else.
"Argue" in this context was intended as a synonym for "debate". I hate with a passion having to use the same object word twice in the same sentence...
